Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Nick B — 27 Jun 2008
My new favorite De Niro performance under Martin Scorsese! Scorsese's only comedy is brilliant!
I mean, you gets a few laughs in between all the gun shots in his other movies, but never a film that is solely made for yo to laugh. And Scorsese can do it!
It's a great character study into the mind of Rupert Pupkin and makes fine commentary on what it takes to be "the king" in today's society...
