Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Ewan G — 28 Sep 2009
Talk Show Host stalker, wants to be a Stand-up Comedian, takes routine & jokes to TV station, gets thrown out, kidnaps Talk Show Host.
Very underrated De Niro film in which he plays the disturbed, funny & dangerous Robert Pupkin. The scenes in his basement recreating the talk show are excellent as are his scenes with Sandra Bernhard.
Jerry Lewis looks like Jermain from Flight of the Conchords but is also very convincing.
It may have rushed the ending a little but still very good.
