Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Nat G — 09 Oct 2009
Proving Scorsese has more depth than just dramas, THE KING OF COMEDY is a top quality film with De Niro at his finest. I just cannot give this film any less than 100%, as Pupkin is my favorite character in any Scorsese film (closely followed by Travis Bickle and Johnny Boy, respectively).
THE KING OF COMEDY has plenty of the kind of humor that titillates and slightly unnerves, and that's the kind I'm fondest of.
