Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Mark F — 14 May 2010
The King of Comedy is a funny and dark satire about show business. Don't pass up the chance to see this underrated movie. I like how by simply showing scenes out of order, you get a different feeling of the movie.
I also like the performances of the two leads, always-great direction by Scorsese, and how ridiculous the plot gets. What makes the movie strong is that you are not sure which scenes are fantasy in Pupkin's head and which are reality in the movie world.
In fact, was the whole movie reality? Don't miss King of Comedy!
