Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Joel S — 08 Jul 2011
Of the Scorsese/DeNiro collaborations, this film is easily the most ignored, but also one of the best. Touching on many of the same themes as "Taxi Driver," but emphasizing the subjects of fame and delusion, "The King of Comedy" may also be one of Scorsese's bigger head scratchers.
Jumping between fantasy and reality, the ending is open to interpretation. I insist you check it out.
