Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Gawtham J — 15 Jan 2012
A prodigious performances, plodding at a riveting rhythm, easing out the audience to sink into deepest sides of the protagonist's sympathetic psychic mind, also offering an evincing desire to blow up the wholesome show business and to reverberate the creative fragments of humor, produced out of the heinous tragedies occurred in the past, thus approaching near to the pristine comedy, invented by Charlie Chaplin.
.. Martin Scorsese has liberated the ironies and satires in the demurest forms... as his mind's eye brilliantly carried through Deniro's splendid actions..
