Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Raging Bull R — 02 Feb 2013
Strange, quirky satire, one that gets in your head. There was a lot of controversy about releasing this movie, but I am very glad it was released. Extremely funny at times, with some amazing performances from De Niro, Sandra Berhnarde and a slick cameo from the great Scorcesse himself.
This black comedy may be slightly underated and doesn't live up to its former brothers taxi driver and mean streets, but in itself a dark, sinister and twisted plot with some extremely interesting characters.
