Review of The King (2019) by Seussmytub — 11 Nov 2019
The battle of Agincourt is more realistic than any of the previous adaptations although there were still some glaring inaccuracies (like longbowmen shooting into the air). All the mud and the stabbings in order to get through plate mail was filmed in all its glory. Pity they didn't use half-swording or mordhaus in the duel, I would have loved to see that, but no movie or tv show has yet to show it.
The big revelation to me was Timothee Chalamet- I've heard about him but this was the first time I saw him in a movie, and he is a good actor- he'll be playing Paul Atreides in Dune so I cant wait for that to come out too.
The one thing that was out of place is Robert Pattinson- he seems downright goofy in playing the French Dauphin, it felt like he was imitating Peter Seller's Inspector Closeau.
