Review of The Killing Room (2009) by Alan O — 17 Aug 2009
Officially selected for the Sundance Film Festival, the Killing Room as.
A psychological thriller concerning 4 volunteers who, needing some quick cash, sign up for what they believe to be some harmless social or medical experiments. However what they do sign up for is far more sinister...
A film similar in vain to Cube, the Saw films and Fermat's Room, this adds a unique take on a familiar idea and is worth a watch just to catch Peter Stormare's excellent creepy performance. Towards the end the film reveals it's bigger plot thread and whilst not 100% convincing it's delivered with enough tension and suspense to make it worthwhile.
Good not great, worth a rent.
