Review of The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017) by Jess O — 26 Jun 2018
Very poor film. Dialogue was stiff; sounded like actors were reading from cue cards. Unrealistic character behaviors/actions. No basis for outcomes. How were the children poised? How did the disease states develop.
Why not implicate anesthesiologist? Antagonist could have been blackmailing him to provide poison and to explain disease state of surgeon's family. Otherwise, viewer has no idea of origin of antagonist capability to exercise revenge.
Resolution was also unrealistic. How was antidote provided? Why did victim not threaten to kill antagonist for antidote? Seemed more thought could have been out into structuring crime and to make film more intriguing and plausible.
