Review of The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017) by Breck D — 01 Jan 2018
I kept waiting, the entire movie, to find out why the characters were acting so strangely - no emotion in their exchanges, etc. Hate to say it, but this one just didn't resonate with me. I walked away thinking it was meant to be a hit piece on physicians, was all I could guess.
The acting was good (if they were all supposed to have no personality), definitely on-par casting, but I never got the point. To me, it would have made a lot more sense if the entire family had been poisoned which affected their personalities or something - maybe they were and I just missed it.
