While The Killing of a Sacred Deer doesn't quite work as well as The Lobster, Yorgos Lanthimos still shows that he knows how to make idiosyncratic films filled with black comedy and social commentary.
Colin Ferrell gives another strong performance under Lanthimos along with Kate Winslet and Barry Keoghan. Definitely not for everyone, The Killing of a Sacred Deer features a witty and dark script that makes a fine addition to Lanthimos' filmography.
