Review of The Killing Fields (1984) by Miles L — 21 Jun 2012
Truly one of the most haunting films ever about the Khmer Rouge reign of terror in Cambodia. It is sometimes annoying with the way in which Sidney Schanberg seems to treat Dith Pran very poorly but the manner in which this film portrays the way the Khmer Rouge ruled Cambodia is accurate and frightening.
The acting in this film is excellent as are the special effects. One thing I like in particular about The Killing Fields is that it doesn't get preachy for the most part but sticks with telling the story.
