Review of The Killing (1956) by Manesh S — 06 Apr 2008
Amazing direction.. This is how crime thrillers should be.. Short and sweet with no added fat on it..
This is about a well planned race-track heist involving a group of non-professionals with clean records & picturized from the point of view of these characters with no linearity.. Somethin tht was very innovative for its age..
Acting was very functional. But camera-work & editing was just awesome.. I just loved it.. Grt watch..
Last words: I'm getting addicted to Kubrick's filmmaking!!! :).
