Review of The Killing (1956) by Michael W — 21 Jan 2008
A motley gang led by an ex-con attempts to score it big but the manipulative, cold-hearted wife of one of the conspirators gets in the way. This is Kubrick's first proper film and one can see his talent emerging.
A technical achievement in its non-linearity though it somehow seems to lack a lot of substance. Very worth seeing though.
