Review of The Killing (1956) by Kathleen M — 26 Feb 2009
A great heist film and a sign of the brilliance to come from Stanley Kubrick. The narration added to many of the scenes, I found unneeded and me and my boyfriend discussed that it felt like a young Kubrick unsure in his own direction to show the feeling of each scene.
The last scene of the movie is brilliant. It is truly one of the great end lines in film. Up there with Daniel Plainview's, 'I'm finished.'.
