Review of The Killing (1956) by Tim M — 09 Dec 2009

A great film noir that uses back and forth time to tell a single event. Varied characters and a good premise make it interesting and there is a nice kind of "twist" so to say. When it's all over you can really feel that it was a Kubrick film even though it's one of his early ones.

Ingenious though the "Dragnet" like narration could be eliminated especially since it doesn't carry throughout the whole film.
