Review of The Killing (1956) by Steven C — 02 Apr 2012
Great early Kubrick film. What I really enjoyed was that there was absolutely no fluff in this film whatsoever. Everything was precise, to the point, and calculated. That applies to kubricks method of directing and to the film's characters and story.
Well-acted, stylized but not too goofy or surreal. A gritty and dark film. I saw the ending coming though.
