Review of The Killing (1956) by Viginti T — 30 Jul 2009
You probably wouldn't guess this is Kubrick, except that the recursive narrative structure, multiple points of view, and tricky and ingenious camera work lift it above the average noir. Loses points for some clunky dialogue and dragnet-style voice-over.
