Review of The Killers (1946) by Steve M — 07 Oct 2010
A defining installment to the film noir genre. Contains all the classics, city setting, manipulative femme fatale, black and white, sharp dialog, and sleazy characters with a murder mystery thrown in for good measures.
For most films that contain heists the heist is a major event that will take a lot of screen time. The killers only briefly shows it and gives way to excellent character development.
