Review of The Killers (1946) by Mike M — 07 Sep 2011
This taut film noir follows the exploits of an insurance agent attempting to solve a mystery leftover following another man's vain attempt at eluding ghosts from the past. Lancaster's film debut is a good one in this Hemingway adaptation, with Gardner playing the femme fatale.
Riveting from the opening frames onward.
