Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Amy G — 22 Nov 2010
The Killer Inside Me lacks the level of connection to any of the characters even for a smasher movie. Ignoring that this movie has some of the most gruesome scenes I've seen on screen, the reverse chronological break down of the features that build Affleck's character do not ring true.
Winterbottum tries to cover the defining moment that led Affleck to be as disturbed as he is, but it really just doesn't decrease the distance between the audience and his character. If you have a little S&M Streak this movie maybe more palatable, but I thought it was a waste of time.
