Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Michael S — 14 Oct 2010
A dark, brooding, vicious and very effective examination of the serial-killer mythos from Michael Winterbottom. A lot has been said about the "repellent" violence within the film, but Winterbottom never lets the film's grisly content ever detour from the story or make it less (suprisingly) entertaining.
I don't think the violence in the film ever was used as a simple shock tactic. Casey Affleck has never been better. Very strong film overall.
