Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Tapani M — 15 Oct 2010
What a waste of time! When I saw the trailer - I thought that this movie could be very interesting and full of good acting - I was dead wrong.
Casey Affleck was as interesting as a block of wood - and as charismatic. He should stick to same sh*t as his brother - being a cover-boy for girly magazines. Role of Ford could have been so much more better if there was an real actor in it like Tommy Lee Jones (younger version of him naturally). Only good actors in the film were Elias Koteas and Kate Hudson. Koteas could have been briliant in the role of Ford.
Whole story was incomprehensible and illogical - I have the Jim Thompson book but I haven't read it yet (I pray the God that it's not as stupid as the movie). It's difficult to capture the feeling of the original text to film, but still all twists in the movie were totally unrealistic. Killing was easy in the film - as in the real life it is not - yet, one of the attractions introduced in the trailer was gripping realism. There was also a dumb voice over (sure sign of things going wrong).
I am totally surprised how one can make so crappy and boring movie out of a Jim Thompson text.
