My three sentence review. This film is controversial for the obvious reasons and many feminists may take some issue with this glitzy and violent Film Noir type film. Casey Affleck was born to play this role and is often quite frightening and plays Lou Ford as this cold psychopathic sociopath brilliantly.
Sticks very well to the book but doesn't go into too much detail about Lou Ford's past then the book does and only hints at it but still is a very well made and brilliantly acted movie despite its flaws.
