Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Niclas H — 30 Dec 2010

Okay guys...I came out of retirement to write this review........this movie is Awesome! Now as far as telling you about the movie...well...if you read my other reviews you can see I am not into that......instead I will tell you what I thought was awesome. I suggest you see this movie without reading any reviews.....without reading wikipedia......and then after watching the movie....check the reviews and wikipedia out....very interesting indeed...especially, wikipedia. However, a friend picked this movie up for me and didn't watch it...but said he thought I would like it based on the title. So, knowing nothing about the movie....I threw it in and hoped for very little. I must say......I thought it was great.....was it shocking....you bet. Yes, yes....I know.....what about the violence on women portion.....well being a woman myself......I was pretty sickened about the scenes.....I was definitely disturbed......and after seeing the movie 5 times already....I turn my head....do not need to see the scenes again...once was definitely enough. However, this movie delivers not only a disturbing feeling.....a what the fuck is going on sensation...and a great satisfaction that a good movie can keep you glued to the tube.

The cast is awesome...and in my opinion....could not have done a better job. The film is artistic....calming....and then it hits you square in the face with shockers. If you do not read the reviews....you will get sucker punched with some of the scenes......sort of like burn after reading....when brad Pitt gets blown away.....totally unexpected...and yet that's what made that movie crazy.

Casey Affleck is brilliant as a sociopath.....the whole time he makes you wonder what the he'll is wrong with him....and yet...he is such a calm nut...you can't hate him. The character is so waked that it makes you wonder if you really know a person....which is another reason why the movie messes you up......

Does the movie make sense? 90 percent it does ....but it is a movie.....your there for entertainment....not to have everything spelled out to you....does the movie have excitement.......no.....there is no crazy violence...or crazy scenes like the Cohen brothers........does the movie speed along......no.....will you care about the characters.....well maybe...but not likely.......

So what made it good.....well maybe I am stretching a little....but it was to me....more like a modern " night of the hunter" it's a story of a sociopath. There is no reason....so don't go into the movie looking for sense or answers. The point is....who cares why he is nuts....accept it....and watch the story for what it is. Watch the characters and how they relate to each other. Watch the movie and say to yourself......holy crap....thank god that nut isn't near me. As far as the critics being angry about this movie and saying it is horrible.....trust me....the movie got a bad rap.....American psycho was more violent and disturbing. Personally, I think most people just weren't ready for these types of actors to play these types of parts/ characters. Usually, once actors go big, they usually started out in the beginning of their careers playing a cult film here and there...and then once they got popular....they played more commercial roles.......so it is a little bit odd that Jessica alba and Casey Affleck played these roles.......but man....what a great job.........

So, for all my critics that are going to argue with me on this.....do not bother.....I loved this movie....and I am not changing,.
