I've become a Casey Affleck fan. I think he is a great actor, but tends to be stuck with one character most of the time. So it is good to see him stretch outward. However, I couldn't take him or Alba serious in this film.
I hated all the characters right away. Now I know it is based on an old crime novel, but I guess I was never really into crime novels. So I didn't watch the whole film. One of the few movies that I just couldn't watch the whole way through.
To me it was boring, silly, and really had no redeeming value. I was hoping for more, but I guess I'm just not into this old crime novel or the adaptation.
