Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by David U — 07 Sep 2012
Painfully methodical. Not only with it's use of sexual brutaliy, but the entire feeling this movie provides. Besides the shockingly graphic, porno/violent fetish-esque feel of the movie, it lacks a basic 'beginning, climax, & conclusion'.
You are left questioning Ford's (Affleck) root cause of his psychosis. Not only is the main character lacking in charisma, but his 'love' interests (Alba & Hudson) lack not only morality, but have a seemingly unquenchable desire for abuse, which as a woman, is utterly unbelievable.
This desire & love for Ford's abuse doesn't falter, even after bare-handed beatings and ultimately murder. This film has the shock factor, make no mistake, but that is the extent of it.
