Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Sarah L — 27 Nov 2012
Michael Winterbottom spices it up with a Western tale unlike the usual storyline, where good guy pushes the bad guy out of town, and totally redefines the concept of wild west justice. Casey Affleck carries a convincing tune as a deputy sheriff but behind closed doors the habitual misogyny plays out like clockwork.
Sheriff Ford meets the town prostitute (Jessica Alba) and puts his job on hold in order to do her in. Alba plays a tough role but betrays many of the common traits of a prostitute with her flawless, model-like appearance.
Nevertheless, Affleck holds on to his stubborn ways all the way through to the end with his conniving character leaving plenty of surprises by the end of the film.
