Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Dij B — 15 Jul 2011
Affleck is a brilliant actor who again turns in an excellent performance in an extremely dark and violent film by Hollywood's standards. The story is good up until the final 10 minutes, although the sexual and physical violence Affleck's character inflicts on the women in his life is very realistic, brutal and tough to watch.
There is a heartbreaking scene involving Kate Hudson's character that sums up the pure evil in this man. The film is told in first person and as such a lot of people after seeing what he has been through have said they sympathise with Affleck's character.
Great actor he is, I found nothing but hatred for him and no amount of his past issues or charm changed that. Hollywood should be braver more often!
