Beautiful and poignant shooting but something is amiss - felt like maybe important themes from novel (although I haven't read it) were hurried through. The ending was contrived and worthy of B-movie rating.
Performances were incredible, however; and the journey into the psyche of a created sociopath and abuser may be worth watching if you're interested, but viewer beware, it is EXTREMELY disturbing.
