Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Bruce B — 13 Mar 2011
Apparently sincere attempt to be true to a story that sadly has elements that canâ(TM)t help but look by turns sensationalist, exploitative or ridiculous once they are literalised on screen. The brutality is certainly shocking, but the lack of insight into the characters at the receiving end leaves those scenes feeling unearned and distasteful.
The performances and photography make it not without interest, but in the end probably only in the same way as a post mortem.
