Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Joey B — 31 May 2011
Wow, a film worth seeing that ends up being about absolutely nothing. Winterbottom manages to express things through pure film rather than having characters do the job for him. Ultimately this is the largest flaw, but no one else ever has the guts to try this.
So screw it, it's a a bad movie with worthwhile inner workings. I can't forgive the violence, it's portrayal in the film is absolutely grotesque but doesn't capture any emotional weight.
Things were doomed from the get go. I love so many of the people involved in this that I wish it was better. Bill Pullman.
