Review of The Killer Inside Me (2010) by Tyrone H — 31 Aug 2011
Having just praised one Micheal Winterbottom movie, i'm going to be rather cooler with this post noir thrillier, staring darling of the moment, Casey Affleck. The film is rather nasty in tone. The actions of many of its characters either agressor or victim and probably the most worrying thing, in the case of the females, complicite and desiring of that agression.
I do need to congratulate Jessica Alba, who could, with her looks continue to make papa after pap. Instead she chooses to take difficult and sometimes unsypathetic roles and do very well I them. while taiking about the acting in this movie...am I the only person in the world not convinced by Casey Affleck? Am I the only one fed up with his mumbling almost catatonic acting style. I think that this is what has put me off this. The directing and style is not in question, just the main performance and the nastyness not only portrayed but seemingly revelled in.
