Review of The Kids Are All Right (2010) by Jill S — 23 Sep 2011
Brilliantly acted and filmed; emotional without being sentimental. I had fairly high expectations for this film but I definitely felt they were met. Handled so many issues with family life just perfectly and I never felt they were trying to say anything or push anything.
The film showed us lots of things without ever trying to tell us anything. It was just there to absorb and think about. I generally just found it to be a beautifully executed exploration of modern relationships.
