Review of The Kids Are All Right (2010) by Sarah K — 13 Apr 2012
I so wanted to like it, but those kids are not all right. The family is reconciled in the end, and that's good, but the language is shameful, the pornography beyond the pale. The stranger sperm donor, most innocent of all parties to this family's difficulties, is shunned as "a f***ing interloper.
" The film contradicts the notion that "it takes a village." Short on forgiveness. Not funny.
