Review of The Kids Are All Right (2010) by Chinmai R — 21 Apr 2012
It was so extremely real, and never once seemed implausible or like it wasn't real life. The screenplay and acting, which were phenomenal, made it incredibly realistic. It has to be one of the most real-life-like movies I've ever seen, if not the most.
Every scene was so off-puttingly awkward, thanks to the great screenplay and the acting; and the movie was so different from your average narrative, which both made it very unique, and made me enjoy it a little less.
The ending sucked, and though I'm not asking for a resolution of every plotline, too many things were just left hanging. This movie was close to perfect in telling its story (the only 1 detractor being the end), because the acting and narrative and screenplay were great, but it was also not as enjoyable as it was great.
I hope that makes sense. In terms of being true and as far as good movies go, this should receive 5 stars, but for me, it wasn't as enjoyable as it was great.
