Review of The Kid Stays in the Picture (2002) by Brent C — 20 Jun 2008
Although this documentary is simply constructed with mostly still photos being shown as Robert Evans narrates it is extremely engaging. The reason for this is Evans himself. He tells his own story in a pretty frank manner and his story is a hell of a good one.
Evans rose to the top of Hollywood moviemaking working with some of the legends of the business making classic films. His downfall and perserverance are just as amazing. A great film about a true Hollywood maverick.
