Review of The Kid Stays in the Picture (2002) by Alec B — 07 Feb 2009
A fantastic biography about a terribly interesting man, this is one that I've wanted to see for years. I've known of Evans for years since I saw his TV show and saw a lot of the movies he produced, and always knew he lead one crazy life, but nothing could prepare me for his full story, straight from the horse's mouth.
The visuals they used were really unique, with still images being animated into seemingly flowing story pieces, and the narration by Evans himself was in proper form, and made the whole experience a very entertaining one.
The only problem I had was the pacing, where it ended up extremely fast at times and hard to follow.
