Review of The Kid Stays in the Picture (2002) by Tom S — 13 Jan 2011
How you tell the documentary story goes as far as what the story is. THE THIN BLUE LINE may be the perfect double whammy in style and payoff. Although few can live up to that challenge, KID gets two very important things right.
It lets Evans's own voice tell the story and brings an innovation to the visuals that has been copied many times since. A great rise and fall story and plenty of fun to watch.
