Review of The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977) by Terri F — 22 Feb 2006
Hello all...sorry that it's been so long since I've updated. I've gotten a little behind in everything.
I think all of the madness started when the family car decided to stop working on Thursday and so we didn't have ANY transportation for 5 days. That's enough to make anyone crazy. No, actually the crazy part was going all around town this past Saturday, by bus, in the -20 degree weather.
Sunday proved to be a barrel of goodness as I traveled again by bus to go see Date Movie, which was really quite funny.
Last night I watched Kentucky Fried Movie with Joe. It was mostly a bunch of sketches, simliar to SNL in the 70's. But then there was some dumb kung-fu parody that lasted more than a half-hour and that made me completely lose interest in anything that movie was trying to do. It was long...and not exciting. They should've left out the kung-fu thing and done more fake commercials.
One last thing...by far the funniest thing that has happened all week. Our crappy computer cart (specifically the "drunk" cart I referred to in an earlier entry)...well, the front two wheels fell off today. It was all quite funny and we barely stopped laughing enough to take care of the problem. By that I mean we had to get a dolly to wheel the cart back to the lab, and then go into the basement to get a new cart, and THEN take the computer apart entirely and set it all back up again. It took a great deal of time, but sure made the shift more exciting.
Ok, that's all for now. I get to go home, yay!
