Review of The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977) by Joe K — 25 Feb 2006
I know I haven't updated in awhile, but I have been to busy looking at YTMNDs during Computer Science class.
Anyway, the title quote belongs to, quite possibly the dumbest kid at school, Dan Landish.
Going down the list to be reviewed...
Kentucky Fried Movie: Some great satire there, but the kung-fu scene was way to long.
The Last Supper: A movie about 5 grad school liberals that killed right-wing extremists by having them over for supper and poisoning their wine. It was funny. The liberals were the "villians" for awhile, but the film only attacked conservative policy and attitudes.
Beowulf: A band that sucks. Boring death metal music. No originality.
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: A classic comedy. It even inspires some real emotion at the end of the film when Steve Martin convinces John Candy to come to his house for Thanksgiving. It is just to bad that Steve Martin had to go to The Pink Panther and Cheaper by the Dozen.
Jckie Chan's First Strike: One of Jackie Chan's greatest movies ever. Great stunts, funny scenes, and a fight with a shark. Laugh out loud movie every second.
Otherwise, I'm not up to much. I have been focusing on updating SuperSite II: Bloginator and Political Thunder. Hopefully, on Monday, I will oust Dan Peterson as "Tax President" and today I will do some of my WWII paper.
On Friday, I went to American Science and Surplus with Kohlseph, Tom, Spencer, and Harry. I almost bought a flag that said, "Don't tread on me". I really wanted to but the fabric Rocky Poster. Then I went to work. Boring. Damn Serbian bussers are worthless and Tony (my new boss) hates them. So, me, him, Adam, and Stephanie are the only non-Serb bussers and I'm an Expediter, Adam is quitting soon, and Tony is the boss. So, we depend on them, but they are all worthless.
Well that's about it for now. I'll see y'all later...
-Joe.
