Review of The Kennel Murder Case (1933) by Nathanael B — 01 Jun 2007
Solid murder-mystery with a locked room and mistaken identity. Powell plays Philo Vance well--and comes off as considerable less annoying than his literary counterpart's reputation would suggest. Still, lacks punch--especially compared to "The Thin Man," which Powell would later star in.
