Michael Mann's most interesting film is unfortunately the one the studio really messed with.A great story and cast can't help the truncated plot line,but the amazing style of Mann,Tangerine Dreams score and the stunning production design have made this a personal favourite ever since I read the book and first rented the video back in the 80s.
Hopefully a full on bluray special edition of the 3 hour directors cut is in the works.
