The Karate Kid 3 is not good. It's predictable, unsatisfying, and the majority of the plot focuses on opening a bonsai shop and signing a tournament application, but it has one of THE MOST hammy bad guy performances ever put to film and it's really hard to hate something that's enjoyably atrocious.

Mr. Miyagi is just so likable that I'd watch him even in a bad Karate Kid movie. This movie doesn't even reach "it's ok" status like Karate Kid 2 because its storyline is so paint-by-numbers.

Having the villain and Kobra Kai return from the first is a good idea, but it's really hard to take seriously when the main antagonist played by Thomas Ian Griffith is a live action version of Mr.

Burns from The Simpsons. But part of me is happy that he went so over the top because it kept me watching and wondering what insane dialogue he would scream next. Watch Karate Kid 3 if you're a completest of the series or like over-the-top acting.
