Review of The Karate Kid Part II (1986) by Dan P — 06 Jun 2008
A good family sequel, to a good family film. Darker than the original as most sequels are, Daniel & Miyagi go to Japan, where old advisaries are going to cause trouble for the audiences favourite teacher.
Ralph Macchio's performance is better than the first, but Morita's Miyagi is still the best character. Although the fight between Miyagi & Soto would have been good to see, the moral story during the storm scene is more of the family audience so kids learn a lesson, though the fight at the end is good to watch.
even though its obvious DAniel will win, why 'the Glory Of Love' was chosen as the theme tune is debatable.
