Review of The Karate Kid Part II (1986) by Ian R — 01 Jan 2010
I liked this sequel better than I liked the original film. I really enjoyed its focus on Miyagi and his past, instead of Daniel's teenage issues of the first film. Obviously being older, there is more drama to cultivate from Miyagi than from Daniel.
And because it received less focus, Daniels love story line seemed a little less bogus in this one. However, the climactic fight at the films end involving Daniel was better than the previous films fight.
Overall, this movie adds to a previous conclusion of mine: Miyagi Rules.
