Review of The Karate Kid Part II (1986) by Ryan V — 25 Jul 2014
After cheating their way to victory in the previous film, our two jerks head to Okinawa to destabilize a small fishing village and once more provoke and interfere in the lives of far more honorable men.
The pattern is the same as the last time: Daniel instigates, gets beaten up, Miyagi interferes, and it all culminates in a martial arts showdown, where once more, Danny Boy can only win through cheating and distractions.
I would've preferred that we followed up with the Cobra Kai in this film, however I'm pleased that we got to spend time with honorable businessman Sato and his impressive nephew Chozen.
