Review of The Karate Kid (2010) by Christian B — 29 May 2012
A very regular movie in relation to the trilogy of John G.Avildsen.
Jackie Chan's performance stands out, but it becomes hateful Jaden Smith at the end of 20 seconds of film. In turn, the lack of action in the movie is latent. The script is not bad writing, but has gross errors as turning the film about kung fu, when the movie should be about karate.
The score by James Horner is good but the songs composed for the movie by other artists are extremely bad.
A movie that would be a good try, a good remake, but it was not. Just hope it does not make a sequel.
