Review of The Karate Kid (2010) by Jennie R — 01 Jun 2013

This was a good remake. There were parts that I liked better than the original but I still would pick the original over this. Smith was just too young for this part. It looked and felt wrong. He basically used his father's basic character as his own and that seemed a bit fake.

The love storyline seemed out of joint with this. Chan was great as always. I just love him. The movie was too long and could have gotten to the point much faster than what it did. Still, I was cheering in the end just like I did with the original.
